Things people misinterpret, misunderstand, or just plain miss from The Princess and the Frog, Pt. 3

The Princess and the Frog is my favorite Disney movie. It brought me back to loving Disney and just loving animation in general. However it seems like a lot of people miss some important aspects of it that I will attempt to explain for you.
Like any fan of things on tumblr, I go through the tags of things I like. Whenever I go to into the PatF tags, there are a few things that always pop up that I would like to explain so that, even if you still don’t like the movie, you can at least understand it better.
This is spilt into a few different parts because this movie means a lot to me so I can obviously write a lot about it.
I’m probably going to get some hate for this one, because this time I’m talking about Lottie. If you go through the PatF tags, it’s basically full of Lottie gifs and Lottie posts and basically a lot of things that say things like ‘I want a PatF sequel, but only if Lottie is the main character’ or ‘Lottie deserves her own movie!!1!!’
Now, I love Lottie, and I think she is a great character, but there are some problems with this kind of thinking, and I’m going to do my best to address them below the cut.

First off, I’m going to write about Mama Odie. There are two things that I always see about her written in the tags, or just said by people.
- Mama Odie tells Tiana to give up her dreams for Naveen
- Mama Odie serves no purpose in the film other than to marry Tiana and Naveen so they can become human again.
I’m also going to talk about Tiana’s dream somewhat.

Here’s the final set I’m doing for now. Now, I have to start packing to get ready to throw my life away go to college.
